It was another season of jaw-dropping events off the field and calamitous mistakes costing points on it.
This is the story of the latest installment of what is fast becoming a Mission: Impossible; getting Leeds United back in the Premier League.
As always there were moments of humour, moments of despair and moments of frustration; lots of moments of frustration!
David Watkins worked in Industry as a Finance Director for over 30 years before writing his first book in 2011.
A lifelong Leeds United supporter, he decided to write a review of their 2010/2011 season and that became his debut book "Leeds United in pursuit of the Premiership" which was published in May 2011.
He has now written 6 books in all, each following a season of Leeds United games.
Following the success of "...In Pursuit Of the Premiership", David then added his second book, "Leeds United, Light At The End Of The Tunnel" in May 2012.
That work is a match by match report on the club's progress during the 2011/2012 season, for which both the author and his elder son were season ticket holders.
David achieved one of his lifetime ambitions of attending every one of Leeds' 50 games that season.
"Light At The End Of The Tunnel" includes many photographs, particularly shot at the away games and documents another tumultuous season that saw initial hope of promotion fade away; the loss of key players Gradel and Howson; the death of Gary Speed and the amazing events at Nottingham Forest; the sacking of Simon Grayson; and then the appointment of Neil Warnock who many saw as the "...Light At The End Of The Tunnel" for Leeds United. In May 2013 David published his third work, "Leeds United, Deja vu" documenting the 2012/2013 season followed by "Fiasco", "The Kids Are Alright" and his latest book, "Leeds United, MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE" documenting the 2015/16 season.
