We're well-used to not expecting much from a new season. For the last nine years we've failed to make the top six, and with a new manager arriving to replace Chris Coleman we're looking at another season of rebuilding. A mid-table finish would definitely be more than acceptable. Last season 19th Prediction 13th The new boys Manager Aidy Boothroyd hasn't had the budget that previous City managers have had due to a drop in season ticket sales, so he has cut his cloth accordingly. He has brought in a decent set of out‑of‑contract players including Gary McSheffrey, Roy O'Donovan and Lee Carsley, along with Aston Villa's Steve O'Halloran. A small fee was paid for Richard Keogh, who has looked promising in pre-season along with fellow full-back Chris Hussey. And we've taken striker Clive Platt on a nominal fee from Colchester. Attack has been the area that worries me most - we'll see how it goes. Men to watch Much will depend this season on whether we can keep goalkeeper Keiren Westwood. He's stalling over a new deal: we really need him to commit. Best youngsters Jordan Clarke, Shaun Jeffers, Nathan Cameron and Hussey are the pick of the young players coming through. Target for the boo-boys They'll be lost now that Stephen Wright and Clinton Morrison have gone. We'll have to wait and see who they go for instead. Hate figure Definitely not welcome at the Ricoh Arena are: Craig Bellamy, Lee Hughes and Nicky Summerbee, to name just three. Coventry folk have long memories and some wounds never heal.
