2010-11 npower Championship Preview: Scunthorpe United

Most Iron fans are a bit concerned. We lost five key players over the summer, and our three top scorers won't be easy to replace. We've yet to see if those the gaffer has brought in will be enough at this level. But we do have a good track record of finding good young players, and the club is already massively overachieving. But personally, I think we'll struggle. We're shaky at the back, and you can't win every game 5-4.

Last season 20th Prediction 23rd

The new boys The club has to cut its cloth: being by far the smallest in the Championship we can't compete with the others and no one expects to. But it's still disappointing to lose over 60 goals and have your two longest serving players leave. But on paper, the likes of Chris Dagnall and Bobby Grant should be good signings - and we'll wait to see who we replace Hooper with, if anyone.

Men to watch Our stars will most likely be Dagnall and Grant. The two young forwards need to supply us lots of goals, because it's how we play as a team.

Best youngsters Apart from those two, wingers Woolford and Thompson should also impress.

Target for the boo-boys Rob Jones, Rob Jones and Rob Jones. When you ship lots of goals the fans need to blame an individual, and the 6ft 7in centre-half is, by nature, an easy target. When we paid a club record fee for him fans expected the earth - they weren't pleased with what we got. But I'm hopeful he can improve from last season.

Hate figure Grimsby have always been our main rivals, and usually higher than us in the pyramid. So we really are on cloud nine to think we're three whole divisions above them.

Going up Middlesbrough, Cardiff, Leicester
Going down Scunthorpe, Crystal Palace, Millwall
