The 22-year-old, who will be available for any potential play-off games, had an eight-game loan spell with Peterborough earlier in the season.
"We're playing well, we haven't lost for a good amount of games and coming to a team that is winning is always better," he told the club website.
"Hopefully I can come in and strengthen things and hopefully we can go up."
The former England Under-20 international started his career at Manchester City but, after an initial loan spell, left for Leeds in August having failed to make a senior appearance at Eastlands.
He has featured four times for United this season and played eight games while on loan at Posh.
