The Whites have to wait until Brighton and Derby settle their round three tie on November 4 to discover their destination.
Leeds progressed to the fourth round for the first time since 2001 with a 3-2 victory over Hartlepool United on Tuesday evening.
They will visit either the Withdean Stadium or Pride Park during the week commencing November 10.
