West Bromwich Albion have agreed a deal to sign Swansea City defender Kyle Bartley.
The former Arsenal man is expected to complete his move within the next 24 hours, after agreeing personal terms with the Baggies.
However, according to the Express & Star the central defender was also wanted by Leeds United.
Having spent the 2016/17 season on loan at Elland Road, there was a possibility he could have rejoined on a permanent deal this summer.
With Albion already having lost Gareth McAuley and Jonny Evans this summer, Baggies boss Darren Moore would have hoped to secure more options at centre half.
Once the deal is completed, the 27-year-old will be confirmed as the club’s second signing of the window after Sam Johnstone joined from Manchester United.
Bartley won the FA Youth Cup with the Gunners before joining the south Wales side in 2012 for £1 million, making just 38 appearances over six years.
