The 35-year-old was told he will not play again for the first team by Eddie Gray, but his agent says that he has no intention of leaving the club before the summer.
Hayden Evans told BBC Sport: "Why would David want to leave Leeds? He's got a contract until the end of the season and he's going to see it out.
"There have been several clubs in for him in the last couple of weeks, but he's not interested in going anywhere else.
"There's never been any hint of David retiring."
