Batty lasts 90 minutes

The former England midfielder, who was making his first competitive appearance of the season after suffering from chronic tendonitis in his knees, came through the full ninety minutes and felt fine after the game.

Nick Barmby also played for 61 minutes of the 0-0 draw with Wednesday.

He has been sidelined since injuring his Achilles tendon in the warm up before the game with Tottenham last November and could now figure in the FA cup tie at Crystal Palace this weekend.
