"We'd had reports on Luciano, seen dvd's, and had a good look at him in training. We were very keen to get him in and he'll be a real threat for us.
"I've been pleased with what I've seen of him in the games and, although he's lacking in match fitness, he realises that and we still have ten days before the season starts. He's working hard.
"He's got a good instinct, he'll be dangerous, and along with Jermaine (Beckford), Enoch (Showunmi), Robert Snodgrass, and Andy Robinson, it gives us five offensive players who will also allow us to make little changes in shape." said McAllister.
