The centre-back was subbed in Saturday’s FA Cup win against Rotherham United with a bout of cramp in one hamstring but he completed a fitness test at Thorp Arch earlier and will travel with the squad tomorrow morning.
The Italian was among United’s most impressive performers in a 2-0 victory over Neil Redfearn’s Rotherham and his quick recovery has given head coach Steve Evans a boost as United face two tricky trips to Ipswich & Sheffield Wednesday.
Sol Bamba and Liam Cooper started Leeds’ last league game - a 1-1 draw with MK Dons - but Bellusci’s display against Rotherham put him in firm contention for a start at Portman Road on Tuesday.
Evans went with a pairing of Bellusci and Cooper against Rotherham, with Bamba named on the bench.
The Ivory Coast international replaced Bellusci 11 minutes from time.
Striker Chris Wood, meanwhile, remains doubtful for the Ipswich clash due to a hamstring problem but midfielder Alex Mowatt should be back in the squad after missing the last four games with a groin injury.
Evans said: “Chris is 50-50 and at the moment I’m probably swaying towards thinking it might be too soon.
“Mowatt could have played against Rotherham but he didn’t come back to training until Thursday. He’s gifted and we’ve missed him.”
