The decision would appear to suggest that the Welsh centre-forward is not part of Leicester manager Craig Levein’s long-term plans at the Walkers Stadium.
The much-travelled Blake has struggled with Leicester this season, scoring just the one goal, against Preston, in the Carling Cup last October.
Blake, who came in on loan as cover for the injured Brian Deane, told Leeds' website: "I'm allowed to play on Saturday. I didn't expect them to let me play in the game so it's a bonus and I will take it."
