"It's all right saying he doesn't know what he is doing, but it's quite clear it's not of his own making," said Boocock.
"To be honest, I'm just flabbergasted at the situation. I cannot see any great movement from the supporters for Reid's head.
"It's the players the supporters are angry with. I don't think they realise just how angry the fans are with them because on Sunday they looked as if they didn't care.
"I think they should leave him to get on with it and give him more time and lay it on the line to the players. What they are failing to see is that the rest of the football world are watching them.
"But the situation is not helped any by the financial institutions. Unfortunately, a small number of faceless people are saying what's to happen at our football club."
