Bowyer nearing decision

With just the remainder of this season left on his present contract, Leeds have been keen for the England international midfielder to put pen-to-paper on an extension to his present contract in fear of losing the player on a Bosman free next year.

"Only a handful of people know all of the ins-and-outs of why I haven't signed so far, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to sign," said Bowyer.

"I like it here and I'm planning to have a meeting and decide over the next few months."

Bowyer nearly became a Liverpool player in the summer only for the move to break down at the last minute and now both Arsenal and Tottenham are believed to be keeping tabs on his present contract situation.
