Tuesday's game against Everton was The Chief's first appearance since December 22 and Eddie Gray said: "Lucas should be ok. He started Tuesday night's game well and finished it well. I had no doubts about playing him in midfield because he is a good footballer wherever he plays.
"My only concern was that he had not played for a long time because of injuries. It is good to have him around to play that midfield holding role."
Team mate Jermaine Pennant added: "When I looked at the team sheet on Tuesday night and saw Lucas down to play in midfield I thought someone had made a mistake, but he came in and did a terrific job.
"He played for the full 90 minutes as well and was inspiring. It looks like he will be playing a defensive midfield role again against Arsenal and I'm sure that won't bother him."
