He admitted in the Yorkshire Evening Post: "I can see light at the end of the tunnel now. The crutches have gone and I'm hoping to start doing some work in the pool before the end of the week.
"I'm still a bit sore and I'm not going to build my hopes up about when I could be back. It's got to be right because it was a big operation and we'll see how things go over the next couple of weeks.
"Hopefully my knee won't react and we'll take things step by step. It really has been awful. I was in the team and doing alright then the injury came out of nothing. I was in proper pain.
"I'm used to playing 40 games a season without a problem, but I've had two injuries this year and it's been frustrating to say the least."
