Eddie Goes - What Next?

Eddie Gray paid the price for the club's relegation with his job as chairman Gerald Krasner admits there will be no rush into making a new appointment.

The main question is whether Krasner or Steve Parkin will be making the key decisions as the haulage millionaire is expected to declare his interest in taking over the club soon.

Reports seem to suggest that Parkin favours Crystal Palace's Iain Dowie, even before he guided the Londoners to the First Division play-offs.

However, he will have to move quickly to make his interest known and push through a deal, especially as the club are now forcing the issue.

Finance director Melvin Helme warned Parkin to make his move or risk missing out on the decisions that need to be made in the next few weeks.

Helme stated: "Over the next two to three weeks there are a lot of decisions which will be taken. Nobody seriously interested in taking over would want another party making those decisions.

"If somebody wants to make those decisions themselves then they need to make a move as quickly as possible, otherwise we intend to make them."
