Elding In?

The 25-year-old, who has scored in each of Stockport's last five league games, was having talks in Leeds this afternoon with a view to agreeing a contract ahead of the transfer deadline tonight.

Boston-born Elding came up through the Boston United youth ranks and has also played for Stevenage Borough and Kettering Town.

Elding has been at the centre of transfer speculation for weeks, with Hartlepool United having already tabled two offers and Gillingham another, and all three being rejected by County.

However, Gary McAllister came in with a bid this morning the club could not reject.

Elding has scored 15 goals for Stockport this season, leaving the club within reach of League Two's play-off zone.
