FA Admit Ref Blunder

Thompson was facing a three-match ban after being sent off for violent conduct in Saturday's 1-0 defeat against Southampton.

He was alleged to have grabbed Saints' Jhon Viafara round the throat during a first-half melee but the Football Association overturned the red card.

The 33-year-old will now be available for the final two games of the season.
