The Aussie international returned from a three-week absence on compassionate leave for Saturday's game at Villa and is determined to play his part in keeping the club in the top flight.
"I believe that it is never over until the Fat Lady sings," said Viduka in the Yorkshire Post.
"When she starts singing I will be worried but she has not even stood up yet.
"It is a bit of a consolation that the other teams at the bottom all lost this weekend, too, but we cannot keep depending on other people to play badly or lose," he added.
"Hopefully, against Wolves on Tuesday night we can make amends. All the games are massive for us. Wolves is a big game, but so was this."
Viduka confirmed that he turned down a move to Middlesbrough during the transfer window.
"I turned down a concrete offer to join Middlesbrough and I was happy that I was still at Leeds come the end of the window. I had a couple of options to go some places but I preferred to stay and help out the team. At this point in time, Leeds need a lot of help."
