According to the BBC, a blue Jaguar was in collision with a female pedestrian on Harrogate Road, Leeds, about 2040 BST on Thursday.
Yorath is currently the assistant manager at newly-promoted Huddersfield Town. The 54-year-old has been released on police bail.
The woman was a stable condition in hospital, West Yorkshire Police said.
