Fowler wants Macca

Speaking in this morning's English press, Fowler said, "I'd love him to come here, any player of Steve's calibre would do well and enjoy playing in this Leeds team but he loves every single minute of the lifestyle and the football over there.

"Although he doesn't want to come here at the moment you never know what might happen in the future," he added.

The pair have been best-friends since their early days at Anfield, and speak to each other every day on the phone. McManaman is currently playing for Real Madrid in La Liga, but has long been linked with the Yorkshire side.

McManaman would be the ideal candidate to fill the vacant right sided midfield role, for the club.
