The Leeds striker said in the Yorkshire Evening Post: "I am not a diver and I am not a cheat. You have to be professional and I thought I was that. I haven't seen it again but I felt Lomas come into the side of me and you can't really tackle anyone in the box like that. You take your chance when you do that."
There were some heated scenes after the penalty was awarded as Healy, who missed a penalty in United's 6-1 win against QPR last month, was confronted by Lomas and Hammers defender Anton Ferdinand.
United's Sean Gregan and Paul Butler acted as peacemakers and Healy said: "Big Sean and Paul looked after me and that's what mates are for. It was hard taking it after that. The QPR penalty was flashing through my mind and the goal looked small.
"But I am a penalty taker and I'm grateful to get on the scoresheet and get the draw that I thought we deserved. We worked hard for each other and kept going right until the end. Hopefully that will set us up now and we can go on from here."
