The 26-year-old moved to the Whites for £250k but now switches to City for an undisclosed fee.
"I only signed for Leeds on 22 July," he told Hull City's official website. "But I was informed yesterday that they had accepted an offer from Hull. I met the manager and was really impressed."
A statement issued by Leeds read: 'At the time of signing David, Kevin Nicholls and another potential midfield target weren't available to us. We then managed to acquire Kevin and things have now opened up on another target.
'With everyone fit, David is unlikely to play, so when the opportunity came up for him to talk to Hull, we gave him that choice.'
We at LeedsUnitedMAD are a little confused by this though as Nicholls has now picked up an injury that could keep him out for a long period, he finds out tonight the results of his scan - we will know tomorrow.
So why sign a player that is 'unlikely to play'? Who is this 'potential midfield target'? Have we made or lost money on Livermore? Is it because he had a dodgy barnet?
