Leeds fans have turned against the midfielder, accusing him of greed, after he recently turned down a new contract offer and he was booed off the pitch when substituted in last Saturday's match against Crystal Palace.
Johnson, who has one year left on his contract, told the Yorkshire Post: "The booing was hard for me to take. I love the fans and want to be here.
"There has been a break down in communications with my contract and I want to get it sorted.
"They all want me to sign. Every day they are asking me what is happening, but it is down to my agent and to the club and hopefully it can be sorted."
