The Swindon Advertiser report that Town boss Danny Wilson is considering making a move for Kandol and, if signed, the forward would be joining former Leeds team mates David Lucas, Jonathon Douglas and David Prutton at the County Ground.
Kandol, capped once by DR Congo, is the cousin of former Colchester United, Newcastle United and Portsmouth forward Lomano LuaLua and current Toon youngster Kazenga LuaLua.
Kandol started his career at Luton Town before brief spells with Cambridge United and Bournemouth.
He soon fell into non-League with Thurrock where he was very prolific scoring 59 goals in only 83 appearances.
This form earned him a move to Dagenham & Redbridge, another brief spell which saw him re-enter league football with a loan move to Darlington during the 2005-06 season.
In 2006 he joined Barnet where his goalscoring exploits caught the eye of Dennis Wise at Leeds United.
However, Kandol has been pretty much surplus to requirements at Elland Road since 2008 with loan moves to Millwall and Charlton Athletic.
Last season he featured throughout October, scoring against Darlington (JPT) and then two in a row against Bristol Rovers and Yeovil Town but disappeared from action until December when he scored his last United goal to date against Kettering Town in the FA Cup.
His last game came against Norwich City at Carrow Road when he came on in the 89th minute and was sent-off moments later.
