The 19-year-old is on a month's loan and has so far impressed the Iron boss.
Laws said: "We still don't really know that much about Andy, but that could be the key for us.
"I have spoken to Leeds at length and have spoken to their players and they are raving about him.
"Every time we have put him on he has looked a threat. He looks like he could be a good player for us, so let's hope we will be able to keep him a little longer than a month.
"He certainly gives us something different because we now have options up front," he told the Scunthorpe Evening Telegraph.
