In a response to claims in some of this morning's tabloids, which reported he had stormed out of Elland Road after being dropped for the Tranmere Rovers game last Saturday and wanted to leave, Kandol told Leeds' official website: "I saw the stories on Wednesday morning and they are complete rubbish. I have been ill, everyone knew that, and the club knew that.
"The stories say I am unhappy because we have brought in another striker, I didn't know who we had brought in because I have been ill and have not been here!
"I am perfectly happy here with the new gaffer. And the competition excites me. I don't know where this stuff comes from."
United confirmed Kandol had picked up a bug in the build-up to the Rovers game, was not even at the ground on Saturday and only returned to training this morning.
McAllister added: "Tresor has been ill. There has been no bust-up and I'll be glad to get him back in the squad."
