Leeds United have won the 2019/20 Sky Bet Championship.
An automatic promotion spot to the Premier League was secured on Friday night, following West Bromwich Albion’s failure to win against Huddersfield Town and after Brentford also failed to win against Stoke City on Saturday, it means no team can now reach Leeds’ points total of 87.
Marcelo Bielsa has led the club to a fourth ever Second Division title, following successes in 1923/24 under Arthur Fairclough, in 1963/64 under Don Revie and 1989/90 under Howard Wilkinson.
Captain Liam Cooper will follow in the footsteps of past skippers Jim Baker, Bobby Collins and Gordon Strachan in lifting the title.
The club will play in the Premier League during the 2020/21 season, for the first time since 2004.
