The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international is one of six out-of-contract players at the Walkers Stadium to be handed new deals by Foxes boss Ian Holloway.

Sheehan, currently on loan at Leeds but sidelined due to a three-game ban following his recent sending-off at Yeovil, will be eligible to play in the play-off final at Wembley if the Whites win through against Carlisle tonight.

The 21-year-old, who joined Leeds on loan at the end of January, has made 10 appearances at left-back for Gary McAllister's side and scored the winner in last month's victory at Doncaster Rovers.
