The Tynecastle head coach has cut thousands off the wage bill at the Edinburgh club and Levein, who is under contract until summer 2006, is in the process of cutting around £850k off his player budget for next season.
Levein’s achievement in guiding Hearts to consecutive third-place finishes in the SPL with such financial austerity has alerted bigger clubs, but the coach insisted he knew nothing about stories suggesting he was to replace Eddie Gray at Elland Road.
"I don’t know anything about it, and I am quite happy here, to be honest," said Levein.
