The club will open the East Stand at 11am for a 12.30pm tribute to the Leeds and Welsh legend who died on Saturday aged 72. Prior to the service, the giant screen inside the ground will broadcast footage of Charles’ career, during which he made 327 appearances for Leeds in two spells, scoring 157 goals. Following the screening, the hearse will drive into the stadium and park at the half-way line, at which point the service - to be attended by the entire first-team squad - will begin. All supporters who wish to honour Charles are being asked to do so at the memorial service at Elland Road. The family have also expressly said no flowers. Donations can be made to St Gemma’s Hospice, while collections will be made at the ground.
Caretaker manager Eddie Gray will give an address before a private family service at Leeds Parish Church.
