The 24-year-old midfielder agreed to extend his stay until the end of the season and, after completing the paperwork at the 11th hour, he was in the squad for today's lunchtime FA Cup trip to Wigan Athletic.
However, despite speculation linking Leeds with a move for Australian winger Joel Griffiths, the club have denied that a deal has been struck.
Griffiths has trained with Leeds, but he has not yet been offered a contract and he is one of handful of players to come under the spotlight as Kevin Blackwell looks to strengthen his squad for the Championship run-in.
Meanwhile, Leeds are understood to be rivalling Hearts and Sunderland for Racing Genk's Bosnia winger Mirsad Beslija.
Talks are continuing between Leeds and Cardiff City over the future of Michael Ricketts. The striker's loan spell at Ninian Park ended earlier this week.
