South Yorkshire Police put some pressure on the Millers to call off the friendly at the Don Valley Stadium on Wednesday, July 30.
Supporters club secretary Ray Fell commented: "I think it is unfair and unthought through. I believe a lot of the people who are making these decisions are basing them on incidents 20 and 30 years ago.
"Leeds fans have caused very little trouble at grounds in recent years. Many of them travel by bus and are away from the ground without any incidents.
"This breeds resentment and forces fans to travel at all hours and I wish we could get back to the traditional 3pm kick off."
