Rovers manager Graeme Souness says in The Mirror: "This is the most important game we have played since I have been manager at the club. It's a six-pointer with six games to go. A win would ease the pressure on us although there will be a few games left still to win.
"If we win, confidence will be boosted enormously. If we don't we will have to see how it affects some of the players. People are finding it difficult to deal with. It really is time for all of the men to stand up and be counted.
"I am not nervous in the slightest. The bigger the challenge the more it turns me on. It is easy to feel sorry for yourself, but that is not an option I have taken too often in my life. If you make a mistake, so what? Where do you want to be playing next season?
"I have questioned myself every day. I have questioned myself about some of the players I have brought to the club. You only find out about people when the going gets tough. The easiest thing in life is to look at what other people are doing, but you should be looking at yourself and I will ask myself some questions at the end of the season.
"When I was at Southampton we went right to the last game of the season, and we are under similar pressure now. I don't need to be told what it all means. I am fully aware."
