Earlier two goals from Max Gradel earned Leeds an impressive 2-0 win over Championship leaders QPR.

The Argentine striker, who has scored 47 goals in 126 appearances for the club, signed the deal which will keep him at Elland Road until 2015 in the wake of today's win.

"I'm very happy to sign the contract and stay at the club," he told the club`s official website. "I love the fans, we are doing well and we want to get to the Premier League. I want to be a part of that and I'm really pleased."

Simon Grayson added: "He has shown his importance to the club with his goalscoring ability. It was vital that we secure his services after losing Jermaine Beckford last season."
