Ken Bates is now in talks with the players' representatives about extending their existing deals and this will also help fend off potential interest from clubs in the Championship and Premier League.
Beckford, 23, joined Leeds from non-league Wealdstone 18 months ago and has been loaned out to both Carlisle United and Scunthorpe United. His existing deal expires at the end of next season.
Kandol, 26, cost £200k from Barnet in the New Year transfer window and is under contract until summer 2010.
