Speaking on Yorkshire Radio, the chairman said: “I saw that Reading wanted Kilgallon and were going to bid a million for him. I saw another story carrying a report that we had Glenn Hoddle lined up as well.
"That was a load of nonsense and so is this. We actually turned down an offer for more than a million from Reading so he is going nowhere. If he continues to develop as he is, I can see him as a natural successor to John Terry.”
