"The group have put an offer to Leeds United and we are awaiting a reply in the next few days," stated Sheikh Al-Khalifa.
"Our offer is in the hands of the Leeds board."
Leeds have rubbished the claims though, and insist that they have received no offers as yet.
A club spokesman told the club's official website: "We have not received an offer as yet from anybody for the business."
