The former United star, who admits he nearly quit football after his knee injury a year ago, says his spell at Elland Road was his best time in English football.
The 34-year-old quit Inter Milan team for Craven Cottage this week. Dacourt said of his time at Leeds: "We had a fantastic team and the atmosphere was the best that I've felt in football. I'm surprised and sad at what happened to Leeds. The club and fans deserve to be in the Premier League."
