According to reports in Yorkshire Evening Post Leeds have identified Moss as an ideal candidate to replace Salerno who is likely to leave his role the in the summer.
Leeds have already made contact with Celtic over the availability of their chief scout, and it is likely there will be further talks.
Moss has worked with the Celtic scouting network since 2010 after working in the SPL side’s youth academy.
In March it was reporterd in Italy that Maurizio Zamparini is still keen to bring in Salerno after the Palermo owner already tried to bring him in last summer before he was appointed by Leeds.
Zamaprini is continuing to court Salerno, and he is hoping that his wife’s relationship with the partner of Salerno could assist him in his quest to bring him back to Italy.
Zamparini was hopeful in persuading Salerno to join him at the club, and he actually held meetings regarding the role.
Zamparini is not happy with the set up at the club, and would like to bring in somebody like the Leeds sporting director to oversee football matters.
