The Chief played in the same team as Strachan and has nothing but admiration for the man.
Radebe said: “He was a strong leader and a strong character when he was here.
“He was a legend at this club who did great things, he was always honest and well respected off and on the pitch. It was good to play with him.
“With what he has done at Southampton, he has showed he is a good manager and I’m sure the fans would be delighted to see him, especially with us in this situation.
“He will come with a passion to see the club doing well and in a better position than we are now, and as someone who has played for Leeds, he will understand the club and the fans.
“He is also a man who knows how to deal with players because he was one himself not so long ago. He knows the game very well and the situation.
“It’s tough for everybody at the moment, the management, the players, everybody concerned with the club, but for the new man coming in it’s going to be even harder.
“But if he does come then it’s obvious there will be changes and things will get better.”
