The Australian international striker went on to score two prIceless goals for United to dismiss any lingering thoughts of a relegation struggle and Reid was delighted with the performance of his top goalscorer.
"He was late coming in today and he was late yesterday and I wasn't too pleased with him," Reid said after the 2-0 victory.
"I dragged him into the office before the game. You won't believe it, but I asked him for a couple of goals because he had the needle and the big man has come up with them.
"I hope he comes in late every time and I have to give him a rollicking every time and he then scores two goals every time.
"But it was typical of the big fella. He is something else. Since I have been here he has got so many important goals.
"He is a talented boy. Some of the stuff he does, some of the drag-backs and the way he moves the ball for a big man is terrific.
"His goals were the icing on the cake, but the performance from all of the players was terrific."
