A report in the Sunday Mirror suggests that the former England midfielder is fuming at the way Leeds have treated him after being told he is no longer required.

Leeds acting chairman Trevor Birch wrote a letter to Batty telling him to stay away from training after Eddie Gray's decision.

Birch wants to negotiate a settlement on the remaining five months of Batty's contract but the former Blackburn and Newcastle player has rejected a move to Nottingham Forest and intends to hold out for the £500k he is owed.
