He said: "It's great for the club to face Premiership opposition. the chairman (Bill Fotherby) organised the game through his connections with Leeds and while it's wonderful for the club financially, it's great for me and the players to test ourselves against the very best.
"It will be good to see a big crowd at Wetherby Road and whatever squad they put out they'll be strong opposition. But I know my lads will have the desire to make their mark in the game."
Head coach Neil Aspin is also looking forward to facing his former club after enjoying several successful seasons at Elland Road.
He said: "It's always good to play Leeds. They are the biggest club in Yorkshire and are very popular in this area. From the club's point of view it's financially important for the club and it's secondary what the result is, but I'd like to think the game would be competitive."
Also expected to play for Leeds are Stephen McPhail, Simon Johnson, Jamie McMaster, Matthew Kilgallon and Colin Healy could feature as a trialist.
I say stick the first team in for their dismal display against Shelbourne yesterday!
