Experienced centre-back Kenton joins on loan today from Leicester City until February 12.
Kenton, 29, became the fifth player to join the Whites in the last 10 days since the transfer window re-opened.
Kenton has joined along with winger Sebastian Sorsa and midfielders Neil Kilkenny, Bradley Johnson and Peter Sweeney.
Sweeney underwent a medical at Thorp Arch yesterday and signed a two and half year deal, with the formalities being completed today.
All five will be available for Monday night's televised trip to Crewe Alexandra.
Assistant boss Dave Bassett said the club were delighted with the signings of Kenton and Sweeney, who are both players that Wise and himself have worked with in the past.
Bassett said: "Darren is like Rui and with him being away at the moment we are getting a similar player who is very experienced. He has plenty of games under his belt and got to the Play-off final with Norwich City.
"Peter has a good character and he gives us something else at free-kicks and corners. He is a good age and we are hoping he will be pushing for a first-team place straightaway."
