The Senegal international is on a season-long loan at Elland Road from Marseille.
Sakho is determined to use the African Nations Cup to force his way back into Leeds' boss Eddie Gray's plans.
He said: "I like Leeds and I want to stay in the Premiership, but if I'm not playing regularly Leeds will not let me stay.
"After the year I have to go back to Marseille and I don't want to go back and play for them after this.
"I like the English game and I want to stay, but I don't know where.
"I want to stay in England, I would prefer to stay and help Leeds in the Premiership.
"But I also have one club in England who want me to play for them now.
"A lot of people and other clubs can see me in England, but if I don't play it is difficult.
"Now Senegal want me for the African Nations Cup and I can't say no to them.
"The club want me now, and want me to stay here, but I don't know what the manager thinks of me or why I am not playing.
"I need some clarification, maybe he does not like me, I don't know."
