Strachan has been strongly linked to the vacant managerial post at Leeds but he today said on The Saints website: "I am a very happy man here. I am happy in the job and I will not walk out on this club to join anyone else.
"I am very happy with the way the club is run and the policies here."
Chairman Rupert Lowe said: "Gordon is doing a great job, he has a great squad and a great spirit in the camp. ... Gordon is entirely committed to this club, we are both comfortable with where we are and we're going in the right direction."
