Telfer's workrate is unquestioned and he can play in a variety of positions. He cancelled his contract with
Full-back Telfer, 36, will go straight into the squad for Saturday's League One trip to Scunthorpe. He spent the early weeks of pre-season with Leeds playing during their tour of Ireland.
The former Scotland international joins up again with McAllister after they spent three years as team-mates at Coventry over a decade ago.
