Today's game at St Andrew's will be the fourth time Halsey has been in charge of a Leeds game, the last of those being in the 1-1 away draw with Manchester Utd on February 21 when Jermaine Pennant and Stephen McPhail were booked.
Halsey also took charge of Leeds' 1-0 away win at Charlton in November (Smith booked) and the home defeat to Tottenham in January (no Leeds bookings).
In total Mark Halsey has been in charge of 16 Premiership games so far this season and handed out 35 yellow cards and 2 straight reds.
