Cheltenham, Gillingham, Walsall, Luton, Hereford, Peterborough, Wycombe and holders MK Dons all get byes into the second round of the southern section.
Leeds will be in the draw for the first round, which will take place next Saturday, August 16.
The games will be played in the first week of September.
